Call for CASE panels at BISA 2008

Deadline: 01.05.2008.

Paper proposals are invited for submission to the British International Studies Association under the CASE banner.

The conference is taking place at the Unviersity of Exeter, 15-17  December. More details can be found at  http://www.bisa.ac.uk/2008/call.htm

Proposals can be on anything that falls under broad CASE areas of  interest, includindg new areas for research into security, the  elaboration of critical theoretical approaches, contributions to ongoing  debates about the politics of security, and empirical work into security  practices that has implications for critical approaches.

Depending on the number and type of papers received, CASE can either act  as a formal convener for the panels, submitting them directly in the  name of the group, or simply as network node to link paper proposers  together to coordinate their own panels. We may also be able to suggests  chairs or discussants.

This year some of the BISA rules have changed again. You will have to be  a member to participate in the conference. And panels can include a discussant or not.

The BISA deadline is 1 May so please respond quickly if you want to  attend.

Proposals should be sent to Andrew Neal andrew.neal@ed.ac.uk
