2 X TEACHING FELLOWS IN INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS

10 MONTHS FIXED-TERM
(1 x Full Time and 1 x Part Time 0.5FTE)

Salary Range: Grade 7 £28,290 - £34,793 (pro-rata for part time)

The School of Politics, International Relations and Philosophy wishes to appoint up to two 10 month Teaching Fellows from September 2008.

You will hold (or be very near to completing) a postgraduate research degree in International Relations. You should possess experience of, and a strong commitment to, teaching International Relations at undergraduate degree level. A Learning and Teaching in Higher Education qualification would also be desirable.

It is expected that teaching required (lecturing, tutorials and seminars) will be concentrated in the following undergraduate modules: The Cold War and After (PIR-10025); Peace, Conflict and Security (PIR-20056); International Relations of Eurasia (PIR-20017) and tutorial teaching on the module: Introduction to International Relations (PIR-10006). An ability to contribute to other International Relations modules especially in the area of ‘Intelligence and Security’ would be desirable.

You will need to be available to undertake lecturing and tutoring duties from the beginning of the new academic year, starting September 2008/9.
