The Security Programme of the International Peace Research Institute, Oslo (PRIO) is seeking a short term, full-time research assistant for the period June-December 2007.The assistant, who must reside in Oslo, will support ongoing research projects in the field of European Union studies with focus on security theory, international relations theory and political ethics.

The candidate should hold an M.A. in political science, sociology or a related field with specialization in theoretical issues. The candidate should be fluent in written and spoken English. Reading proficiency in French is a requirement. Reading proficiency in German and/or Scandinavian languages is an advantage.
