Thomas Marth’s Death Confirmed

The coroner’s office of Clark County, Las Vegas, confirmed that the official cause of death of Thomas Christian Marth, saxophonist of the group The Killers, was suicide. 

“We lost our friend Thomas Marth. Our prayers are with his family. There will be a light that is missing in Las Vegas tonight,” said Tommy, published on Wednesday through their Facebook and Twitter.

A spokesman for the coroner’s office of the Clark County confirmed to the “E!” website, the news that the body of Marth was found Monday morning at his home in Las Vegas. He said the official cause of death was suicide. Marth, 33, toured with the band in 2008 and 2009 and participated in recording the albums “Sam’s Town” (2006) and “Day & Age” (2008).

Prior to joining The Killers, he worked on some of the most familiar bars in Las Vegas, like The Freakin Frog, Revolution Lounge, The Royal Resort and the Hard Rock Hotel.
