British actors Anthony Hopkins and Helen Mirren, star in the film “Hitchcock”, based on a book that portrays the actions that occurred during the filming of the famous 1960 film “Psycho”. The movie is expected to reach the big screen in 2013.
The film, which began production last April 13, is an adaptation of the literary work, “Alfred Hitchcock and the Making of Psycho” written in 1990 by Stephen Rebello, whose plot revolves around the filming of the most acclaimed film of the late director. Also, the film will tell a love story starring Hitchcock, who will be played by Hopkins and his wife and colleague, Alma Reville (Mirren), a contributor to “The Shadow of a Doubt” and “Stage Fright.”
The script was written by John McLaughlin, in addition to revisions of the same director, Ryan Murphy and the author of the famous book. Ivan Reitman, Tom Pollock, Joe Medjuck, Tom Thayer and Alan Barnette were involved in the film’s production. “Hitchcock” will also star Scarlett Johansson as Janet Leigh, James D’Arcy as Anthony Perkins, Jessica Biel as Vera Miles, and Michael Stuhlbarg as Lew Wasserman, among others.
