Meryl Streep honored in Berlin


The Berlin Film Festival yesterday appointed their queen! Meryl Streep received the Golden Bear for Lifetime Achievement for the movie “The Iron Lady”. The film that projected the actress in yet another race to the Oscars .

Meryl Streep took the stage visibly excited, and shows a temper like a lady of the silver screen. The award was handed over by Jake Gyllenhaal, who called it “a treasure trove of cinema.”

A fully deserved award for an actress who manages to give her characters a unique persona, Meryl proved us once again that she is one iron lady. Margaret Thatcher has also won many awards, including here a Golden Globe and a Bafta Award.

In addition, Meryl Streep was also presented with a bouquet of flowers from Dieter Kosslick , the director of ¬†Berlinale, as a gift for Valentine’s Day.
