Latina actress, Michelle Rodriguez, will resume her characters in “Machete” and “The Fast and the Furious” for the next installment of these films. This was according to Variety magazine confirmed in their website.
Rodriguez, 33, has become a star of action movies with roles in Hollywood blockbusters like the “Avatar” and productions such as “Resident Evil”, “SWAT” or “Battle in Los Angeles”. The actress was cast in Robert Rodriguez’ film, “Machete” in 2010, starring Danni Trejo. The sequel, “Machete Kills”, will be premiering in 2013, where Trejo will share a deal with Mel Gibson, among others.
Rodriguez will also return to “The Fast and the Furious” for the sixth installment of the blockbuster story of gangsters and underground car racing. Rodriguez participated in “The Fast and the Furious” (2001) as Letti and starred in the fourth installent in 2009.
IN 2013, she will reappear in “The Fast and the Furious 6”, to be directed by Justin Lin, director of the three previous films. Rodriguez’s involvement in the sixth part of the saga had been brought forward at the end of “Fast Five” but had not closed her engagement so far. In 2013, Michelle Rodriguez will be one of the voices of the DreamWorks animated film “Turbo”. This year, we will see Rodriguez in the new film “Resident Evil: Retribution” on September 14 in America.
